SatNav on the iPhone

Featured Replies

I know it can be done but the question is have any of you techno bods actually got it working successfully on the iPhone?

Have done a quick search and it looks like there could be a TomTom variant available but seeing that I've only the peasants 2G version was wondering about compatibility issues.

Any info on this gratefully recieved.

Steve, I don't think the 2G has a GPS receiver, there is a TomTom version developed and ready to go by all accounts but no news on a release date.

It would suit me down to the ground when it happens after some theiving twonk went through my hold baggage in Bremen airport after check in and stole my Go 720

That sucks royally, will insurance cover it?

As has been said, v1 doesnt have a GPS receiver builtin, and bluetooth support isnt too reliable with headsets, so I'd say a GPS device might be pushing things to far.
