BMC CDA filter or Simota CCI box??

Featured Replies

Hi,

I know that many drives with the BMC CDA filter, but

have anyone looked at Simota CCI box?

It´s cheaper and looks the same, is there any difference?

any links?

I've read that simota filters dont have very good filtration quality.

I'd suggest the Halfords rip(speed)-off version of the CDA for even less money, £70 IIRC.

I've just fitted the Jetxec Carbon airbox on mine, will post pictures later

Hi mate ive just fitted a BMC to mine and noise increase is very slight.... i have posted in the past that they give off quite a roar but this was due to the Hybrid Turbo on the car i witnessed... they do look cool however and i have seen a slight increase in performance over the pd160 ;)

I know that it´s only 77mm and not 83mm as the BMC CDA but does 6mm do any diffrents?

I forgot to write CCI boxar :)

I have edit my mess now ;)

Thing is that an airbox is a complex affair - not just about how big the pipe is..

You would need to hook up both systems to measure flow resistance when clean, dirty, etc to know which is better...

Be nice to know, but the PD160 wirks pretty good and no problems getting filters for it..

Nice, do you have done it yourself or bought it?

I maybe able to sort out a group buy for the BMC if anyone is interested????

I did it for the Club polo site a year or so ago and we got them for less than £100

i got it off a member on here, he got a few made up locally, just to replace the rubbish standard plastic boost hoses

this hose needs a small breather filter fixed to the end of it - this is important...
