Cruise

Featured Replies

I am having a dealer retrofit cruise to a Octavia and wondered if Skoda had done what VW did and changed the graphics on the column stalks for the 2008MY. My 2008MY Golf had different graphics from the 2006MY I had previously (supposedly easier to comprehend - apparently driven by the American market). The Octavia in question is a June 2007 car and i don't want the dealer to order a column stalk with non corresponding graphics.

I know this is an obscure question but I wondered if any of the knowledgeable people on here had a quick answer.

Thanks

Thanks for the pics. The facelift stalk is the same as the 2008MY Golf. I can't imagine the dealer will order up a facelift stalk for a 2007 Octavia so we should be oK.

Thanks again

I think you will find they will superceed to the newer design anyhow.

graphics look similar so no big drama - I couldn't remember how different they were. I actually prefer the newer design.

I have got some of the older ones but I always ask people which they would prefer.

My 07/57 plate had the newer style.

Stu,

in your opinion will the new type stalk look out of place with an old style wiper stalk on the other side?

Thanks

IMHO yes but some people prefer it.

I supoose it only matters or bothers you if you know the difference.

Would anything have changed to the internals of the new v old model stalks that might make going for the newer one a better long term solution.

There are no obvious changes Colm.
