Staright answer needed on Sat Nav card for the Witson HU

Featured Replies

ZHUHAI WITSON INDUSTRIAL CO.,LTD.

Aside from the IGO8 (which may or may not work out of the box depending on who you speak to), which Sat Nav card will i need to purchase to make this work 100%. I've read the 20 page Witson thread which mentions the IGO8, but thats the whole of Europe and is like £120, which is far far too much money, so what alternatives are there?

Xmas is around the corner. If I have to go with the IGO8, is there a UK only version which is less expensive...

I'd stay away from Sygic. Had it on a Nokia, the routing is odd, to say the least.

IGO-8 Works perfectly in my Witson720S fitted to the Roomster.

You have to get the PNA version though, NOT the PDA Version and this is were people are having problems. After Using IGO for a while now, I actually prefer it to TomTom, the only niggles I have is sometimes the voice is a little odd, for example taking an exit on a roundabout that is after the 12 o'clock position than you are told "prepare to turn back on the roundabout" .... I lol'd a little at that.

If you wish to evaluate IGO-8 with a view to purchasing ... then drop me a PM

"edit" one of the other problems with IGO is people playing with the file structure and buggering it up ;) it stores most of it's data in zip file format and I have helped sort a couple of peoples out where they had buggered it up after messing with the zip files ;) (no names, no pack drill :))
