Ive got the bulbs out of the casing but now i cant actually replace the bulb and i dont wanna break it and smash it ! how do i get the bulb out now?

A bit confused, You have you bulb out of the light unit? it should look like this, The bulb doesn't come out of the metal holder.

The bulb doesnt come out of that holder you buy the bulb as shown in the picture above and just replace the whole unit
