reversing switch position (looked on old posts!)

Featured Replies

Hi,

Although old posts of this question do tell where the reversing switch is, i cannot see it for looking!.

I have a '2001 octavia petrol 2 ltr estate and the reversing lights are on in drive as well as reverse and also on d2, but not d1??

I am assuming the switch as i cannot think what elase it might be.

They do say it is under the battery or air filter and the one i can see there has a two wire connector, but when i remove the connector, the reversing lights still work (wrongly :-)

If anyone can pinpoint it or show a clear picture i would be very grateful if someone could help as it's my son's and his MOT is booked in for tomorrow morning!

Thanks in advance

Paul

You could remove the reverse light bulbs for the test- they are not testable.
