Subaru leave WRC

Featured Replies

Along with Suzuki, I think that may be game over.

Still it frees Prodrive up for a collaboration with the arist formally known as Honda

Think the "RIP WRC" thread is coming true, then there were two. :(

No wonder Seb is looking for "other challenges" in motorsport, looks like he's seen the writing on the wall.:o

That would make sense. Prodrive were to be the 12th team in F1 this year until Williams got uppity about them having a customer car.

Let's hope that WRC's loss is F1's gain.

Just found out about Subaru and Suzuki leaving the WRC, what a shame :(

Wait until the dust settles. theres a chance Prodrive will run a team next year using the latest Subarus, They have a rolling deal with Subaru so severance terms are still to be agreed, part of that will be who keeps the cars. They will continue to support private Subaru teams & build new customer cars (£450,000 if you want one) so would make sense to have a team, especially as the cars are developed

There are also plenty of people who do the Irish rallying with WRC money as well but still a shame that they have pulled out :(
