Featured Replies

as you know im having problems with the fault code 17705 . ive had the vaccum pipes check and with no joy didnt find anything . ive changed the DV to the standard one and the problem still there . i know some people have changed the N249 valve and was woundering is this any good i found on ebay ?

N249 valve. Audi, Vw, Seat, Skoda 1.8t 20 valve turbo on eBay, also, Audi, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 21-Dec-08 18:48:27 GMT)

Rather than buy one just do a 249 bypass to check if it's any different ;)

how do you do that ? ever heard of it

Get your throttle body cleaned and reset before you do anything else, if you haven't done it already.

Do a search for some info on the bypass, but it's basically just connecting a vac line directly from the DV to the inlet manifold.

I had this code all the time, along with the 17545 but I just kept resetting it. I changed the DV, cleaned the throttle body, checked all the pipes, but as soon as I changed the N75 valve it hasn't come back, touch wood, for a couple of months now. I just got a standard N75F, not an H or J model, but I believe these work for some people.
