it was the 428 relay that we tried off the bro inlaws car the one behind the air box and yes the codes clear but when you go to start they come back on.....

428 is just the type of relay rather than a dedication number,

i will go and take a pic now :thumbup:

Has now thrown a new error code... 17069 which I cannot find any info about.

Just noticed your thread. what does that relay do. i had a similar problem on my volvo years ago and it turned out to be a fuel cut of relay was faulty.
