The car is Octavia I '99 1.6 AKL engine, the problem is when i step on the throttle and the engine reachs 5500 rpm the fuel flow stops and the car is losing power, in this moment ot the dashboard it shows current fuel consumation 0.0. I replaced airflow sensor, cammshaft hallsensor, air intake temp. sensor, trottle body, spak plugs and ignition leads. I have a vag com 409.1 when i atach it to the car there is no erros stored on the CPU!

PLS if anyone can help, write as soon as possible!

what state is your exhaust in? May be getting clogged up although you would notice loss of power across more of the rev range perhaps.

Likely to be the rev limiter cutting in. What's the engine speed showing in VAG Com when the power is lost?

The engine speed shown on the VAG-com is the same as the revolution-counter on the dashboard! Today I removed the catalyc converter, yes there is some improvement, but the car is still cutting off the rpm's after 5500 rpm! I had some tests at the road, and noticed that the injection time is not cuted it stays at 15 milliseconds!

That is the latest info!

Why are you wanting to drive a 1.6 octavia along at 5500rpm? You realise your acceleration will be slower at/beyond this point?

I have never even taken one up that high rpm, it didn't seem to pull any harder over 4k, so I can't tell you when the rpm limiter kicks in.

Most engines bounce off of the limiter at 6000-6500rpm, unless its french or jap......then it tends to rev its knuts off!

@greg123 - Here in Bulgaria we don't have this kind of problems! And I can replace with new catalyc converter at any time!

I know that everybody thinks that is the engine cut off, but the car was not in this condition, when I get it I was able to drive it at 200 km/h with 6200 - 6300 rpm!
