my 54 plate vrs seems to have a fault with the climatronic its just blows out hot air whatever its set to ,it seems to be stuck ,could it be the flap that mixes the air? if so what can be done to repair it

stick a vagcom on it and that ll tell you what heater flap is faulty

or mate on the climatronic swithch off ur ignition and hold the 2 end ones in and turn ign on.

either the the top n bottom near you or on the bottom row the two on each end.

think that is what is the self test on the climatronic

cheers guys its just started working again now so it looks like an intermitent fault , jaymd if you could do a quick scan for me that would be great, i do belive it can be reset with vagcom if there is a fault i will pm you some days i will be free

In my old golf I had this - it turned out that the numpties who replaced the rad had forgot to reconnect the external temperature senser. Worth a try?

we had this with our 2003 polo required fixing under warranty. New switches I think.
