Badges that don't belong...

Featured Replies

Saw a 1996 Astra this morning. Apparently, despite the 1.4 badge, it was a 16 valve (saxo badge) turbo (porshe badge).

Read somewhere that Ferrari took the makers of the kit to court and sucsessfully put a stop to the manufacture of the kit and also tried to get the details of the kits sold so that they could get the cars too.... not sure if it was true....

You can still get the kit as my mate has just brought one. Cost him £3k!!

Gunna cost him about £1,500 to get it fited and sprayed

But have seen some done and they dont look to bat and cost a lot less than a Ferrari too. His spaying it yellow too think thats a bad idea :thumbdwn:

An interesting beast this morning. A 1.0 Hyundai AtoZ, apparently in V8 configuration :D

OK then

Steve

A 1.0 V8?

I'm getting one. :D

had a new shape corsa pass me the other day, on the badge on the back it said AMG 1.2 corsa.

There's a lot of it about it would seem, and here's the proof that it really does help!

i know someone who had a citroen 2CV with a V12 Badge on it.

It had massive rear wheels and all the gubbins to look quite good. Turns out when a friend of mine tried to burn it off at a set of lights in an RS2000 escort that it indeed was a V12 2CV

The bloke who owned it spent £27k putting in a Jag V12. They had to remove the passenger seat to fit it in with the gearbox and had concrete in the boot to stop it taking off

Edit: Just found it on Youtube :rofl:YouTube - citroen 2cv v12

Not good qual video but it was about 10 yrs ago:rolleyes:

Carl:thumbup:

That's an out of focus replay of a citroen 2cv on Gran Turismo 4 driving around the track on a loop with V12 sounds in the back ground!

Did you make that?

A few months back I was fortunate enough to find myself behind an ancient burgandy coloured Ford Orion Estate, which had 4x4, Turbo, and Cosworth badges on the back, complimented by a picnic table spoiler on the top and a huge bore exhaust fitted where the back bumper had been cut away with a hacksaw to accomodate it. I'll see if I can find the picture I took at the time, it was almost ethereal.

The thought of putting BMW badges on my car for a laugh has, I admit, crossed my mind :D

I took the fiesta badge off one of my old fiesta's and put a chrome playboy bunny badge in its place.i think its a bmw thing.always see plain bm's with m3 badges.

I think the problem is that some BMW owners feel that as their car has some M bits on it, they can put a M badge on the car.

Off topic - saw a Megane this morning with the numberplate S* GAY - made me smile!! (The '*' being a number). Not sure I would want to advertise my sexual preference!

Saw a car this morning which made me think of this thread, a base model Ford Focus in blue with an ST badge on the back. Unfortunately, it wasn't an ST exhaust, body kit, interior or engine.

I've seen a Zetec Fiesta with an ST badge.. it was a 5 door as well.

A relative of mine had *** GAY on his Rolls Royce.

It's his surname!
