I think youll find it was a perfectly factual post... and i would think i was perfectly in place to state said facts.. after all, i do know quite a considerable amount about these cars and how they handle....

It's still not ready yet just got off the phone with them

I asked if they have found anything yet and all i got was we will call you when its ready

Just hope it doesnt come to much price wise. Christmas sucked it out of me and got my wedding in May so still some spending to do on that.

I'm thinking diesel spill too, but even if you don't see them coming you usually smell them afterwards.

But its still knocking and pulling to the left :weeping:

They said it was a wishbone and spings problem which they fixed. I called them this morning as the stearing feels better but its still pulling and they said to get my tracking done now :banghead:

Will this ever end??????

I do have to admit out of all the cars i have had (KA, xR2i, Clio 182, Z3m) the Fabia vRS is the best . Would recomend one to anyone thinking of getting one.

That's very vague finding's Jim. Wishbone snapped? Spring snapped? Both snapped? Must have been quite a serious problem to make you lose control. Is that all they said? And you are happy with that explanation?

I'd want a full explanation if they claimed it was fixed previously and there is now a fault. A diesel spil could explain a spin but not the snap/knocking unless you hit something hard post-diesel-slide.

The fact they said it was fine now but clearly wasn't should help you push any cost down...

I cant imagine the car doing this with stock suspension unless going at really quite inappropriate speeds for the road conditions OR if something was broken. Even with the rear ARB fitted it takes a fair bit to make it spin like that I would have thought, unless I didn't try hard enough

They said the wishbone bushes need replacing. I explaned they had been replaced a week before. When they checked they hadnt been replaced correctly was there words. Had a left front spring snap is what they said. They put the spin down to ice or desiel. As it wasnt fixed the first time i was only charged £50,

but still have a bang when on full lock and its still slightly pulling to the left.

The bang is really loud and it sounds like somethings about to snap. Im not great with fixing/repairing cars but that cant be right can it? :(

Did they check the side that wasnt damaged? May be something there, possibly the spring on that side...

I lost control on a motorway slip road due to a diesel spillage, my fabia did two full spins and i came to a hault with my dirver door facing oncoming traffic, to make things worse it was on a blind corner as well. I caught my breath and quickly straightened the car up and go it over to the embankment and up the kerb out of harms way, put my finger on the hazards button and suddenly saw a purple mass hurtling and screaching towards my tail end in the same spin as I had done. It was a Peugeot 307 and it hit me full force on the back end. Walked away from it but still got back problems from it now 9 months on. My Fabia was written off!
