Claybank motors (manchester)

Featured Replies

Recently i had to use Claybank Motors in Eccles Manchester due to a fault with my Roomster. The repair took just 1 day to fix . My only fault with this service' they offered was that the car was not washed or cleaned (as the previous dealer i used ..Horners)

And i also noticed that that the fuel cap was also undone!! ? why?

I do not hope that this is not a sign of things to come

you saying they took some fuel ?

I do not hope that this is not a sign of things to come

Isn't that a double negative ;)

If it's in for a warranty job then I don't think it's mandatory for them to wash and hoover it out. I have had it done in the past with Alex Lawrie in Liverpool, but also had warranty job's done without the car being washed. Washing it costs them time and money and in these times every penny for the dealers counts.

I was upset once when a dealer washed my car. I was trying to see if I could get it to turn black, it was white... since learnt my lesson and brought a nearly black car, far easier to keep dirty.

But back on track, from sales at claybank I missed a good deal, my own fault but it was a good option. My only criticism is they didn't call me before selling it. I rang the next morning to say go on then I'll take it.

I know SWMBO gets a wash and shine from dealer on service / panel fixes but not had warranty work. I'd suspect it would of been washed if the wash guy was in, or service... it does not take long to rinse a car down. But I would not expect an interior anything.

The fuel unlocked is a concern, but the roomster is easily left undone, I've done it once in three fills, I was a bit surprised at having to use my key to unlock it. First fill up was fun, searching for the fuel cap release, expectations and all. That and no screen wash alarm on the M6 over shap, cheers Skoda!
