Heard a rumor that come home lights function can be activated regardless of having autolights option on your car ?? True/False ??

That it was a matter of activating the function with Vag-Com ??

This got me thinking :rolleyes::rolleyes:

What else can a person activate using Vag-Com from a relativley standard Octy 2

Yes, that is correct. I don't have auto lights but have coming/leaving home activated.

There are a few little things like changing the locking and activating the beep on lock etc.

Shark_90 : I think i can control some of those features that you reffered to on the Maxi-dot.

Wud i be corect in saying that when i hook up to Vag-Com i will be just making this option available to me on the Maxi-dot system, i will therfore be able to turn it on/off ??

Will i need to search for code number(s) before asking someone with Vag-com software to activate such options for me... Or should i leave well and good alone !!! ??

I'm not sure to be honest mate as I don't have maxidot yet (tried to fit it today but can't get the immobilizer to play ball). So I just turned them on in Central Convenience.

You won't need to search for code numbers as it is done by Long Coding and each function has a label so you just tick or untick to enable/disable.

Having said that if you don't know what you're doing then be careful

You can also enable second fog light and also alarm chirp on disarm. I think you can also disable the seatbelt warning bong but not too sure about that. There should be a sticky either under Vag or Octy II which has more info.

I presume i would need rain sensing wipers for that to get going ??
