I test drove a non Skoda car!

Featured Replies

OK OK I am sorry it was not a Skoda but it does have the same 1.8 lump in it, does that count? Tuned by our chums at Jabba too, it does have some extra twiddley bits on and pokes out 365bhp - holy mother of:eek:

I test drove Grinnall Scorpion IV (http://www.grinnallcars.com/content/scorpion_IV/basics.html)

at the weekend and have nearly got my internal organs back in the right place. That was NICE car and it goes jolly quickly too 0 - 60 <4 seconds  !!!!!

The guy who runs the place - Mark is a bloody nice bloke actually and once they go into serious production with roofs this winter/spring I am going to have to get one! I do still think the vRS is great but I don't use most of it - I have started renting out half of the boot to an east Asian farming community!

I intend to save my pennies, sell my lovely vRS (!!!) and make a purchase next year and then bring it along to the track days etc.

The colour of adrenaline is brown!

Oh.....that one will be with the IHI kit on then. :D

are you local to Bewdley then Woody?

The scorpian 4 looks like a right tool

a friend took me out in his scorpian 3 wheeler and it was fantastic so lord only knows what this new one with an extra wheel is like. track and race car said it was mental

IHI ?

Local, nope, I had to travel miles to get there but holy cow it was worth it. The machine is a real turbo nutter, the level of grip was incredible. Mark said they were really busy with Trikes and S3's (the three wheeler).

IHI ?

IHI = big turbo :D

 365bhp in a little car like that!! Scary!

It was absolutely mental! It weighed about 3/4 of a ton. I would say it was ...enthusiastic!

I could easily imagine overtaking an M3 as it zooms off - now that would be very funny!!!

Cornering was insane, belt around a corner - no lift off and not a peep from the tyres.

Oh yes it did have a bigger turbo on it too, sorry, bit slow there!

Wetting my pants waiting for next year when I can try one with a roof!! I really can't wait!!!!

Seemed so much nicer than the Elise which by comparison seemed liked a rattly tin can.
