Car washing and the damage caused

Featured Replies

So after reviewing this can anyone recommend a good wash it your self starter kit for around £50?

Send a PM to Baker21 (guy in post just above yours), it's a bit more than your budget but he's got a cracking deal on a decent starter pack for around £80 with (saving about £20 iirc)

Like I say, lots of places to buy and there are some real expert's on here like Baker, Wardy and that Jockonese fella BiGWotsit :)

Expert..............holy smoke, never been called that before..........:o

Thanks for that Steve...........

I can indeed offer a superb kit for a special price that I don't make anything on just a kit I can source from a regular supplier that I purchase my bits and pieces from.........maybe I should sort out a GB?

Yeah GB sounds good!

Hmmmmmmmm.............

I reckon so on the GB Simon - get some of the Briskoda faithful in training :D

We can then have show 'n' shine plus training at the Briskoda national event, whenever that happens :P

Dropped an email to my supplier and I will see what they say and then post up a GB thread to see what interest we can get..........

Would be intrested in a group buy as I'm fed up getting marks on my car from using a 5 year old hozzlelock brush lol

Er..............no.............:o

In our company it can mean anything from 'walked off the street into the office, looked at it once and as the first one = expert' to 'has years of actual real life experience with client in the field using and configuring and working around issues in that area and can teach others'

In your case, I'd say you'd be in the second category, seen pics of your approach and the results speak for themselves :)

Reckon your the same as well mate judging by the work going on down at Unit18.......think I may be seeing you guys shortly............:D

Arite Baker21, would it be possible to list what items come in the package and if there is anything else you'd recommend to purchase along with it?

I am just in communication with the supplier at the moment so as soon as I have an idea of what is involved I will post up in the GB section, if you can give me some more time it will be worth the wait.........:P

I've not done much on my car myself (recently), just a few simple things like swap the exhaust and fit the suspension after Stu originally fitted it on my vRS years ago. It is Ross that is doing the brilliant job on my car, and I've heard you may be able to do something funky to the headlight that's going on the project car :D

Sure am mate, will text Ross now to let him know when I can pop over.........

1 time i went thought a car wash in my last car (punto hgt) and the top cleaner ripped my back spoiler off and put in my back window never again will i go though a car wash (it was a sainsburies wash)

The one that Mr Baker is going to see at Ross' Unit18 has been through car washes a few times, but to be fair, that's had 240-250k on the clocks already.

Once Ross has completed the job I'm sure it will look ace, might try to save up for a good valeting session ;)
