I'm thinking of getting a MFD2 & would like to know if the nav will be integrated into the maxidot display automatically or does it need special coding? I was hoping to fit the MFD myself. Also do the MFD type "clones" out there integrate with the maxidot?

You may need to recode but as the MFD2 has probably come out of a car with Maxidot it should be OK. There's bound to be someone near you with VAG-COM anyway

You generally need to code the CAN gateway to make sure you see the NAV menu in Maxidot.
