Am new to the forums here, but thinking of going for a new superb, but can't decide between steel grey and anthracite.

Anyone got any pics of the anthracite ?

anthracite is very dark and will be a bug$er to keep clean in the winter on salted roads. Its not much different to black. I do like it but would not want to own it. You can see the colour in the flesh on many skoda cars as it is used on other models.

Yes, looking forward to taking delivery of my Superb S...with sensible sized wheels/tyres! I just hope the tyres are not Pirelli's.

i was at my dealer yesterday and they had an S and a greenline. they both had 16" wheels and the S had contis and the greenline michelin energy (i think these are low rolling resistance to fit in with the greenline theme)

jcblincs - sorry - I haven't taken pics of my car as yet, but I can assure you, that it is NOT "not much different to black as you say". When mine arrived, it struck me as being much lighter than I expected. Mine is covered in salt spray from roads, and doesn't look to dirty.

I also suggested on other post that it looked similar to your own car in the photos you took pre-delivery with your mobile. I accept its darker than yours, but nowhere near black... and I own one!

fair enough. we all see things differently. i think the amazonian green looks almost black on a cloudy day. anthracite would be my 3rd choice after satin then steel.

the first pics i posted were awful. My car does look very blue and is not much darker than silver in some lighting scenarios.

One thing on colours - the lights in the showrooms make a huge difference. i sat next to the mocca brown one at allams for 30 mins and i thought it was anthracite. the very white lighting in the showroom made it look weird.
