Stutter when pulling up

Featured Replies

My vRS seems to have developed a bit of a stutter when pulling up.

The car seems to drive fine, can't fault that at all, but when pulling up at lights as the vehicle speed reaches 0mph when the car is in neutral the revs have a little stutter and the car then won't idle smoothly.

Vag-com states a throttle position sensor error, I've re-aligned the throttle body but I still have the problem.

Is there a throttle position sensor on the pedal that can be replaced that might be faulty?

Or maybe an idle control valve?

Any other thoughts much appreciated!

Try cleaning the throttle body with some carb cleaner, if you haven't already.

There is probably some way of testing the pedal position sensor and throttle body for accuracy using vagcom, but I have no idea how!
