Good skills with the Audi dealer

I'm sure I'll have this to come, having read this I'm half expecting them to tell me I have "incorrect sparking plugs"...

Oh definitely!

Uselessness with a smile, basically!

Quick update, finally managed to procure a replacement boot sill cover, the one in the Audi is... well.. shattered! It's taken a bang from above and is holding on for dear-life in the car. Found a guy breaking an A4 on eBay, £17 delivered for the piece :)

Also discovered that my wheels need refurbing, so that'll be another £140 on that!

Sounds like it's getting tidyed up nice then. :)

It's all the small things like the sill cover that add up to bringing cars back to there former glory.

Still enjoying it then ?

Yeah, squeaky clutch pedal aside! Think I've got that narrowed down to the part that attaches to the piston the clutch slave cylinder. I think!

Still needs a damn good clean inside and out, but I'm gonna pay someone to do the interior!

Outside... need to source some paint to fill some chips, then get polishing :)

Alloys off, got some cheap steels from eBay with decent tyres, quick coat of Hammerite for that "ghetto" look :)

Just need to find the time to get the wheels refurbed.

You not fitted the bumper and boot yet ?

Hope the get it all done towards the end of the month when I've got some time off work :)

Ta-da!

As promised, new back-end fitted, got rid of the tow-bar as I don't use it. Also got the interior cleaned and shampooed!

However, there's now a small rip in the driver's seat bolster, so that's something else I'll have to get fixed. Wheels should be getting refurbished soon, also :)

Wheels look good mate, MK3 VR6 then?

  • Author

Yup :D

This was only ever gonna be a stop-gap. It's served me well.

Will get some pics up tomorrow once it's all cleaned. Obviously not to your standard ;) Will be presentable enough for carting the dog around though.
