Thule Confusion - Please Help

Featured Replies

I'm picking up my new L&K Octy 2.0 pd Estate on Sunday and I want to get some Thule roofbars but

The Thule site lists Skoda Octavia Estate 05 onwards - No fit

Skoda Octavia Estate 98 onwards with Roof rails - Foot kit 755/757

Their current "catalogue" lists only the 755 and not the 757 feet.

roofracks.co.uk list the Octavia 11 estate as - No Fit but curiously the have an Octavia 111 estate with roof rails that needs kit 757 with 761 roofbars.

I'm totally confused. It looks as though the 761 120cm roofbars are the correct bars but why do Thule themselves list the car as no fit - it has roof rails!!!!!

So, anyone out there have an Octy 11 estate with Thules bars?? - what kit did you use

Thanks for any help

check out roofbox co uk

the 755 footpack and the 761 bars are the correct ones

the retailer will offer full refund normally if incorrect

note these are for cars with roof rails

i have these and a kamei roofbox for my scout

price guidance in euro's

t755- 96e

t761 -36e

kamei 400 box- 210e

volume about 450l which is good for all the volume stuff that fills up the boot plus the ilegal sausages and bacon we import to europe from tesco's and buy at the last minute :D

If you have roof rails fitted you can get away with bars that longer, as the "spare" bits simply extended past the rails....

I have the same roof bars (skoda/thule) that I used with my Mk1 estate if that is any use?

Thule don't know their own products! 761 plus 755 fit just about every average sized car with roof rails. They certainly fit ALL Octavias. See roofbox.co.uk for a better selection of makes and also their Thule listing, also se the other thread on the same subject!

Have a look a Skoda roofbars.

?koda Accessories

I think they show it as a "no-fit" because at one stage there was a deal in placed between Thule and the VW group that bars and feet to suit would only be available through main dealers...

Roofbox.co.uk is where I got mine from.

They advised via email enquiry that I could use the bars that fitted the superb and get new feet. TU755 supplied and fit fine, and got them for £52.85 this time last year.

Cheers

roofbox.co.uk have the part numbers on their website!

Thule only have one set of bars, available in different lengths, 760, 761, 762. Feet for differing cars

ALL ROOF RAIL FITTED CARS HAVE THE SAME FOOTPACK

I think they show it as a "no-fit" because at one stage there was a deal in placed between Thule and the VW group that bars and feet to suit would only be available through main dealers... erm, NO! They list every other VAG car with roof rails, for all years. This is a simple and monumental **** up by Thule!

As this is a much repeated thread have the posters searched for the answers before startinga new thread?

You can not go too much bigger with Thule bars (well the aero ones at least) because they have tracks at the ends for adjustment between cars. If you go too big then there will not be enough adjustment to bring the feet in close enough.

I also got mine from roofbox and the service was great, would recommend
