Best pads and discs for a Fabia?

Featured Replies

As above what is the best disc's and pads to use on a 2000 Fabia 1.4 16v (Car has disc's allround). And what sort of cost will I be looking at?

Also due to an uninsured driver clipping me on a roundabout the car now has a rear beam axle from a Fabia vRS - are the dics going to be a different size?

I'm not sure of the over all cost but mintex seem to be popular at the moment and aren't that expensive either. :)

stick to the well know brands, we use ferodo, mintex, lockhead at our work and havent had one warranty issue in the six years i've been there. ferodo are probably my choice though.

best advice is to shop around the local motor factors and most will compete against each other for the business!!!;)

Not really. Ferodo would be my choice, or Mintex.

'Are EBC Ultimax pads any good??'

ive found the standard ones fine for most situations, however the other night they did fade quite badly, there is a motorway junction on the way to the g/f's and it takes you off to a roundabout, however its not your usual 100m slip road, this is about 1/2-3/4 a mile long and the last 200m is downhill but you dont really notice it enough in the car, my Clio would fade coming up to that roundabout aswell, im looking into better pads for replacements however i dont want to go for any track pads or anything like that, just a good general use pad that can cope with a bit more heat than OE

anyone suggest anything ?
