fitting sub woofer power lead to battery?

Featured Replies

basically as the title says ive bought a sub woofer and i know exactlly where all the wires go but i need to get the power lead to go from the battery and through the back of the engine bay so the lead comes out behind the dashboard and then i can travel the lead to the back of the car.

so does anybody know where there is a weak spot in the back of the engine bay so i can pass the lead through?

the car is a fabia by the way.

Well I dont know about Fabia's, but my MK1 Octy needed the glovebox taking out (pain in the **** job), where there was a rubber grommit that I had to make bigger with a blade. It took me hours, and lots of smashed in knuckles.

Then again, I am a cowboy, and it would probably take someone with a bit of common sense 30mins.

Hope this helps!!

Another solution is to put it under the car and secure it that way, probably a lot less effort and if done tidy should work just fine :)

Nice guide - it is just coz I spotted an article on that yesterday I suggested running it underneath :)

I followed that guide using 4 gauge, and apart from losing a bit of skin off my knuckles :nopity: ,it was pretty strait forward.

Its thicker than 8.

Twice as thick. LOL

I've seen a customers car where the power cable was tie wrapped to the fuel lines. Big no no! lol
