I saw one for the first time yesterday, in a shopping centre. They had one on display. One of the few cars I've come across that's worse looking in the flesh. A lumpy heavy looking thing. And that front grill is awful. Horrid alloys too but then VX been putting them on everything for years.

Octy's gotta be one of the most block designed cars ever, if the grille is so bad what do you think of Alfa Romeo's,BMW and Merc's, these all have a front end that shows the grille off as a corp image also.

Oh I forgot, it's not cool to like VX cars here is it, this all reminds me of the days when someone who had diverse musical taste was sent to Coventry by all the one track ppl who just couldn't understand how someone who liked HM could also like The Police etc, and there isn't a Skoda model to brag about when it comes to looks anyway.

I've had 2 VX and the wife has a Tigra so I'm not slating the brand thank you very much.

No the Octy isn't the greatest looking car in the world but I stand by my opinion that the Insignia is lacking in style.

It's not bold, it's not interesting. I don't doubt it's a better car than the Vectra, but I'd rather have something else.

Ok np, but to say it's bland is just so wrong, it's leading edge design, I just found it ironic that a Octavia owner could find an Insignia bland, Skoda's are what they are, reliable and solid, looks however they are way down the pecking order, did you not notice the swage line running down the side, the raping rear profile, the 18 inch alloys or the sat nav unit on the dash, or the wrap around cockpit, or the instrument binnacle, or the presence of the car, I think personally you've swallowed a VAG pill and will say negatives towards anything else, the new Avensis,Mazda 6 etc are similar in design, yet nobody says how dated the inside the Avensis is, nobody says a bad word about the 6, yet as soon a VX launch a car out come the knives, anyway it wont have a chance against the Sophia Loren Superb or the Raquel Welch Octavia will it, apart from the fact it will eat shrimp rather than oyster ppl will queue up tp pay 4k more for grandma.
