Hello folks:)

Another newbie here.

Not yet a Skoda owner but looking to pick up a 2005+ Octavia Elegance Estate.

I look forward to getting some invaluable tips and info from this site :)

Some great roads up your way! I am up in the Highlands for the week running into Easter, and am planning to do some scenic Skoda-ing! Any recommendations for routes welcomed! Mind you, I get the impression there aren't too many bad choices up there - I've been up to Aviemore on the bike before and had a blast!

I drove Aberdeen - Inverness - Fort William - Glencoe - Edinburgh last year with some friends over from the States. Inverness - Fort William- Glencoe - Edinburgh was fantastic.

sigur - isn't it awesome?

We went to Aviemore ski-ing last year, and my brother-in-law flew up from Newcastle but i decided I would ride up. It was cold but one of the most beautiful places I've ever had the pleasure of riding through.

Did Manchester to Aviemore in a single afternoon - riding along the A9 north of Perth in the absolute wilderness, as the sun went down, was one of the best experiences I've had on the roads ever. Can't wait to return at Easter, in the car this time though!

Welcome.

Well Im finally a member of the club.

I bought myself a 55 plate Octavia Estate 1.9 Laurin & Klement.

Its been a joy to drive and couldn't believe that Im getting 51mpg on a trip to Edinburgh. A 150 mile trip each way but felt I could have done another 150 miles.

Welcome back to Briskoda, glad that you are enjoying the car.

Make sure to check out the scottish region for meets coming up.

Welcome back.

That's why I've got a TDi too; they just soak up long trip. Like last year I did Thiefrow - Glasgow with a low 60s mph (including stops), mid 50s mpg trip average.
