vRS Grille Badge

Featured Replies

I am wanting to replace my vRS badge on the front grille as the green of the V is chipped and flaking off. How easy is it to change?

They are part of the grill.

It has to be broken off as far as im aware, then replaced.

No they aren't!!!!!

I've replaced both of ours with the octy II vRS badges. If all you are wanting to do is replace like for like then buy the badge from the dealers..... About £8 i think.... Then replace.

The badge comes in two parts the bit you actually see..... and a backing plate that is glued to the radiator grill.

Like for like replacement should be just a case of gently prising away the existing badge from the backing plate then putting the new badge onto the existing backing plate..... The badge should have self adhesive tape on the underside.

5 minute job.

If the backing plate comes away too or is damaged then all you need to do is fix the new backing plate onto the grill with some good super glue or araldite kinda stuff.

As i say i've replaced both ours with the totally differant shape new badges and both took no longer than 10 mins each and that included glueing the new backing plate on the grill.

Cheers

Dave.

My bad, didnt realise the front part came off.

Me neither, I spent ages prising my old badge off...

Ive not ran a standard grill for a wee while now anyway.

May see about getting a custom job made.
