what are you going to be running mate power wise???

no idea tbh, hopefully enough to throw a rod :D

yes mate it does really no room after the k04. there is more scope with the gt series but i dont want more than 300bhp in a fwd car anyway:thumbup:

i dont no why people dont like the k04 upgrade. :o

also over 300 im sure you are fairly close to the rods needing to be changed and then thats the next level which i will leave for the others to do ;)

that's the only thing I don't like about it; the dead end, and you know you'll get used to whatever power it makes and start wanting more again :D

what else has been done (or will be done) as the likes of an LCR don't get 300bhp from a remap, even a Focus ST doesn't get 300bhp and that's a 2.5 with a K04

will i need to uprate the clutch:confused: :D

its in this one somewere at the start mate.

fecking hell that is super quick what engine is that???? :D

all wheel drive is the key i would love to have a ride in delcacs car to see what his is like because that cant be to far off the 500 mark :D

I knew it!!! :gay:

altering quotes :orb_wise_

I have an AUQ (in my MK2 Golf) running a K04-023. Any my mate has just done the same conversion on his '02 VRS. If you have any questions let me know. But I can certainly say it's awesome

I used:-

K04-023 and water and oil lines (need to blank the EGT hole (12x1 thread) dependant on turbo year)

TT K04 manifold

TT water pipe, goes around block to matrix (mate modded his on his VRS)

TT injectors

4 Bar FPR

3inch TT MAF

Silicone TIP for TT/S3

A front mount of some description, mates VRS runs an ebay spesh MK4 one modded to fit)

I'm running the TT pipework and inlet manifold but that wasn't the cheapest way of doing it by far.

You'll have to play around with your breather or run a catch can

A remap, Mark at SouthWestInCarTech did mine, no complaints so far, And he's an extremely helpful chap. Not to mention half the price of the top names and knows the ECU's inside out.

Mates downpipe is a S3 one and cat pipe mated to blueflame system

Er think thats about it. Like say anymore questions let me know...

does the s3 one fit straight onto blueflame exhaust???

why do you have to change the breathers ???

what water pipe are you talking about that i need/ how did your mate mod it ??

cheers mate

I think it did may have had to chop the system a little but I know it went on there.

The breather is slightly different as you need to run a K04 Tip I forgot to add to the list. Ebay spesh silicone jobby was around 60quid

Follow the metal water pipe from the water pump across the front of the block round the side of the head and it ends up joining the pipe which connects to the heater matrix, once you mount the K04 you will see where it fouls the turbo, thing mate cut his off and re-jigged the rubber pipe to the matrix, there are pics of this on Vortex

John

could you post link please:thumbup:

any idea on what power you two got from your K04's?

Not yet as only had mine running a week, and mate has not been mapped yet. I would hope for the obligatory 260-270 at least though, put it this way, it certainly feels stupidly quick in my car...

You can see the bit he has cut off...

im hoping for around the 280 mark for mine when its done

i hope lol :o

everyone talks about the "easy" 260-280bhp figures from a K04 and looking at a reliable tuner like jkm there is only one making 260bhp, one making about 250 and most make 230-240 with stage 2, 220 with stage 1 and 205-210 standard.

what drugs are you on?? k04-22 standard on bam is 225bhp mate!!!

a ko4-22 set up right with the right mods will achieve 270 bhp no probs......i run 230 on a standard k03s

and speaking to guy in the no we should once finshed be looking at the 280 to 300 bhp mark

but will shout about it when i have a dyno done on 2 differnent rr's as we all no what some can read lol

where has all the k04 love gone bengie?

cant see 280-300 myself but hey you never know.

260-280 max id say.

I would love to do this once i get money and a good job. cant be spendin at the mo. all my money needs to go on living incase I cant get a job.

dont say that your meant to say no you should get 350 easy lol

with the mods im doing im hoping for high 200's nut really 270 to 280 would be great as i dont want max power i want a nice curve holding high,,,

need to sort out clutch, maf and lsd + dp and its ready to go.. plus bits and bobs:O

so should be finished in time to show off at the 2012 olympics lol
