Tyres Rubbing

Yeah Andrew, the wear is totally understandable given the unforgiving nature of 'the ring' but it doesnt account for my tyres scrubbing the arches whilst cornering round there?

I'm going back in August so am looking for an improved setup to make it a safer trip hence getting the 312 brakes fitted etc :D

Like i say if they are hitting the arches and it isn't just a geo thing, if you think about it if you are on the spec limit of + camber your tyres will wear on the outside edge which is the opposite of mine wearing the inside edge on the limit of - camber. The wear this causes is bound to be exagerated when you are hitting literally '000's of corners at the limit of the cars grip. I calculated last summer we navigated well over 1000 180 hairpin bends, (maybe not as fast as possible) and maybe 250 miles of autobahn flat out, bound to increase tyre wear and show any deviance from 'perfect' imho

Deffo get it checked out though, especially if you didn't have the 4 wheel geo done when the suspension was fitted. :)

I agree Andrew, may as well get things checked as well wihlst its at the garage! Ive always thought you cant expect a road car (even if modded) to do you 40 laps of the ring, drive you there and back and not throw up any issues or require any attention. Manufacturers have used the place as a benchmark for testing their cars there for years for a very good reason ;)
