fabia 1 trim clips

Featured Replies

(First post). I plan to do the door seal exercise shortly on my 1.9tdi estate. Thanks for great advice everyone, condensation was about to force me to dump the car; I'm now intending toseal it then remap it. Being a clumsy amateur I expect I'll break some trim clips. I followed a thread and looked at "online shop" but couldn't find them. Will appreciate a link to find them please - suffer from dealer-phobia when it comes to parts prices; there must be an inexpensive option? Thanks

they are about 25p each from the dealer, you will pay more in postage by buying online

Thanks Brun, that's a pleasant surprise

I bought some from my local dealer in Leeds the other week, it turns out skoda have also re-designed them so they are less brittle and seemed to me to give a stronger hold :).

Good luck with your door sealing, I had to only do one of the rear doors but re-sealing it alone has made a massive difference, no need for the fans to be on in the morning until the car has warmed up :)

Did mine today! Think my front doors need doing to, but that's besides the point.

I phoned up my closest dealer to see if they had any in stock, after explaining twice what I wanted.... and then a very long pause (3-4min) he proclaimed he had found them, but had non (this I found hard to believe).. but on top of that I'd be charged £5 for the luxury of them ordering some in, is this normal?.. he even described it as a "penalty charge" WTF?

I broke 3 on one side and 2 on the other so will have to call another dealer on Monday, hopefully a more competent one!..aye well ;)

wtf !.......£5 to order something in, tell em to **** OFF !

I Know, the minute he said that I replied "oh, well.. I'll just see how many I brake then mate".. and the reply came back "Yeah, it's not really worth it, is it, they're so cheap, not worth the penalty cost"...

Glad this isn't normal behavior!
