Phoenix from the flames (well... almost)

Featured Replies

Hi all!

My beloved Octavia Mk1 is almost revived after some new inlet valves, tensioner, timing belt and some other bits, but now it turns out the Turbo is indeed well and truly dead.

So...

I need a new or decent second hand K03S Turbo.

Anybody know somewhere reliable/reasonable to pick one up?

And before everyone starts I've just not got the cash to look at upgrading to a bigger turbo/manifold so it's standard all the way! it's a recession you know!

Thanks all,

T

try people like turbo dynamincs/derv doctor/jabba etc as they may have some left over from upgrades or some recon ones :)

Thanks for that mate!

You you be confident in ordering off ebay like that? I plan to continue to use the same map once the turbo is replaced so i presume it needs to be exactly the same part, is that one the same as my k03s?

hmm... the plot thickens :)

well it says 2002 onwards and all octavia's were K03s after 2001.

Try AET Turbo's not had a turbo from them, but a replacement diaphragm for a KKK turbo.

Spot on service, there a big firm in Wakefield. I will vouch for there professionalism, as they were more than helpful and polite to me over the phone.

There's a member on here that works at AET, but can't remember his name!

thanks all, i've left a message for AET anyway, fingers crossed :)

you sure you don't mean a diaphram for your DV or actuator as i can't see a turbo having a diaphram in it
