Epc light on cluster

Featured Replies

I have a Skoda Fabia Petrol Automatic Transmission, BKY 1.4. EPC light comes on the cluster with fault "Throttle Valve Control Malfunction". i tried to adapt throttle valve with ecu and for that precondition is coolant temp should be more than 5 deg celc bt there it always shows 0 degree (please see attached foto for more clarification), so i doubt on Coolant temp sensor but when i checked actual value of coolant temp sensor by goin in Electrical components engine there it is showing correct value of coolant. till now i have cleaned intake manifold, throttle valve, changed ECU & Transmission, all the settings are also correct except "Throttle Valve Adaptation to ECU".

please suggest what should i do to solve this problem. I am having VAS 5051 for diagnosis. After erasing fault & light comes again in few meters drive.

Have you tried unplugging the coolant temp sensor and trying it.

Personally I think you have a broken throttle body.

Car is just run 2000 kms. Even i had this doubt that there is any problem with throttle valve and i changed it but still the same problem. i have changed coolant temp sensor. what next?

I had a brand new 1.2 Polo with a knacked TB so dont be so sure. However as you have swapped it that eliminates it.

I'd check the ECU side of the coolant temp sensor wiring according to CFD. Its looks as you say like an adaption issue and it wont go through due to a wrong signal to the engine ECU.

By the Above "Just Run 2000 Kms".

Are you saying the car is New & has only done 2000 Kms ?? If this is the case then take it back to a dealer as it is still under warranty.
