I'll be picking up my new Rosso Elegance 170CR DSG on Friday 6th. February - at last! :)

I saw a really grubby Rosso Elegance in Eastbourne today. It turned behind the old nick, then turned right on South Street, around 11.30am. I couldn't figure out what wheels it had, other than I'm pretty sure they weren't either Themistos or Lunas. Was it you?

You'll probably be tired by then, and need a lie down ..........

?koda Auto - Twindoor, a unique benefit for the new Superb

Taken it's time hasn't it? I think I saw it the other week when I was buying some parts from the dealer. Has it got a cream interior and multispoke alloys?

Yes, it has. It's also got a solar roof and wood trim, Hill Hold, Park Assist (for fun), upgraded sound, dipping mirror, heated washer nozzles, floornets and mudflaps all round, approx!

The delay hasn't been with the dealer, it's been me waiting for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) to cough up a cheque, after my maturing investment went to the wall on the 31st. December. I didn't lose anything, but have to wait for the cheque to clear. That'll happen on Thursday, but I'm working in Pall Mall on that day, plus I've got to ferry my dear lady around on Friday AM, so Friday afternoon it is.

I say goodbye to my current 54 plate (36,000 miles) Octy Elegance tomorrow. I'll still see it around, my friend's son has bought it.

Nice pictures, shame about the commentary.

You don't teach schoolchildren, by any chance, do you.

Nice pics and a nice car

What's wrong with the commentary? I thought it was helpful....

I thought the commentary was good.

I'd say you are a happy bunny looking at your report.

The friends I wrote the page for are not Skoda owners, so would have no idea of the car's features. The text was written in an attempt to inform a much wider audience than you. I don't teach schoolchildren, although I could write it simpler and I apologise if you found it too difficult to understand.

Congratulations! Will look out for it around the Tunbridge Wells area

Yes, I am! I particularly like the clear dials, the improved MaxiDot layout and menus, the 'phone pairing for Jean's and my mobiles (both Nokia 6300s), the enclosed boot storage areas, the adaptive lighting, cats' eye lighting and the visual confirmation on-screen of the parking sensors. The upgraded sound system was worth every penny.

The room in the rear exceeds all expectation, having travelled in the rear for a few miles now, rather than just sat in it. The ride on the 18" (Continental SportContact 2) tyres is great - not luxurious, but just how we like it. There appears to be slightly more tyre noise than in the Octy, but most of that is the result of a much quieter engine. The Themisto wheels are a lot easier to clean than I expected too - that's a bonus!

We may miss the bottle cavities that were in the Octy's front doors and that's no big deal. Overall, we're delighted! :)

Ray (and Jean)

Congratulations. Enjoy the car ;)

Have you forgotten any extra equipment? :P Your car seems to be fully fully fully fully equipped, even the sunroof has solar cells

Ray

Lovely car, probably the colour I would chose

Thanks for the pictures:thumbup:

The commentary was fine by me :)

Very nice car Ray

Didn't mean to offend, and obviously it wasn't an opinion shared by anyone else, but hey, at least I've learned how to load a boot now !

Enjoy the car.

great pics and a good write up ray, cant wait till my dads one arrives in the identical colour but with lunas fitted instead.

Yeah, nice car.

I think the dark colours suit the Superb very well and this is one of the best!
