There's a spate of Kerb posts recently, how many Fabia owners have caught a kerb in the recent weather then? :)

Not hit a kerb yet, not driven the car since sunday and the bad weather is putting me off at present.

I quite enjoy driving in the snow :) Private car parks are fun too :)

Look! I'm the first kerb vote! DOH!

I cheated and remained parked up :D

I think it's an age/experience thing.

Many of the furby clan are quite young to have enough (if any) experience of reasonably heavy (for the UK) snow and the resulting ice that follows.

I'm 19? :) But have a National A race licence...

Not in the last couple of days but I did last month when it snowed the first time this winter. Only kerb damage to the alloy though thankfully!

:iagree:

Only noobs hit kerbs :P

Iive got to admit, I pulled the handbrake in a car park and was surprised when it did a 4 wheel drift and slid way too close to the kerb for my liking

Its amazing fun, but sliding at 10mph can seem to go on for an eternity. Gets the ticker going :D

Us youngins have got to make the mistakes. Its like they say in racing, if you haven't crashed, your not trying hard enough!

There's a difference between sliding and controlled sliding.

I was playing last night, and could balance the throttle and handbrake control to maintain a well controlled drift, to the point at parts where i was on the opposite lock stop and full throttle.

There's a difference between just turning and pulling the handbrake and controlling a slide :)

Not in this snow - but I did before xmas, Used the kerb as a brake when I hit an unexpected ice patch. Poor poor wheels :(

I hate any and all sliding. Sh*ts me right up

Given the choice of driving my Fabia vRS or my Octavia 4X4 on snow and ice, the Octavia wins hands down.

Get yourselves some proper winter tires and stop hitting kerbs. It so easy. :)

Drifting/Sliding is for computer games, much cheaper!!!!

Whats the license for mate? Ive got a National A for Karting, sold the karts now right enough, plan on racing again next year though.

Not hit a karb in the fabi thankfully!

Does mounting the pavement, narrowly missing a lamp post and sliding 20meters down the pavement count?! Thats what I did yesterday and I was only doing 15mph.

Saw a red Fabia vrs in sheffield crunch the kerb yesterday, looked pretty nasty!

not this year, i know from experience how much my furby hates snow/ice so tend to take a lot more care, although i was using the handbrake to help me steer around the streets last night and have some drifting fun to boot. :D

not hit a curb but was driving down a hill came to the bottom, stopped, then the car started sliding in the slush. Main road ahead, I was bricking myself!

Had lots of fun, especially last night but I kept the kerbs at a good distance! Just got to keep the driving smooth, and the drifts can be awesome, but I agree that a proper slide is a controlled one that you can just power out of. If you know what your doing then you can have a brilliant time!:D

This really prooves driving tracks should offer more handling courses such as a skid day etc etc.

The police round here do one, but I think it's only for 17/18 year olds - maybe even only for ex car criminal kids.

Perhaps a brisky special pre-winter later this year?

Not hit any yet, but then my part of Devon barely got any snow in comparison to most parts of the country.
