Black Grille, What do you think?

Featured Replies

Someone's stuck some badges on your blackout grille mate! :D

Seriously, I'd either have kept the chrome, or gone with a full debadge.

It is very difficult to make it debadged completely, in that it has the room for it 'stock', so you'd have to fill it and smooth it, and the round shape is still there.

The only 'real' option for a debadge would be to use a Milotec or similar grille instead.

Personally I like the dechromed look, I used to have it on my black vRS, and Ross has now done the same on the Fabia vRS estate (which is a silver one)

Each to their own though as always :D

I know; the Skoda badge recesses are what keep me from a full debadge.

Im dechromed and never looked back:thumbup:

I think if you had black wheels (Not brake dust  ) it would look a lot better

Looking into black wheels :D have only had the car a month so one thing at a time. I didn't want to debadge the car as im not ashamed of it  but i may create a black and white logo for the front in the summer!

I'm not ashamed of it being a Skoda; in fact it still has the period "Oh no: Another great Skoda" sticker (decal?) in the rear window. I just think that a full debadge looks better than a partial debadge or dechrome, which is totally a matter of taste.

i like it. black and red definately go. way better than original.

I like it :)

Hey Taylor

Check out the link below

Lol, identical.

I just wet and dried it, sprayed it with grey plastic coating, then 3 coats of Satin Black. Cost me £12 in paint and wet n dry paper.

Nice to see some red fabia's getting some attention now and again!!

For the black wheels, Ross got my 17" wheels redone in black, not exactly sure where etc but I reckon it looks ace. Also he did the grille in the same way ;)

When I had my black vRS I did it black at the same time as Stu, and IIRC at the same time the seat strut brace was done. The vRS estate has the Forge aluminium one instead, won't be painted :)
