Best karcher?

Featured Replies

My birthday is coming up next month, and am looking for a new karcher..my present one is about 10 years old, and on it's last legs :(

Which one do you suggest?

I'd suggest the best Karcher is a Power Craft pressure washer from Aldi.

80 quid for a Karcher-made high end washer.

ALDI - Sunday Special Buys 6th April 2008

Seconded.

Got one myself after my previous quite expensive Karcher failed early in it's life.

I will go for the third vote of the Powercraft and you can't go wrong for the price and the 2 Year Warranty.............all you need is to find an Aldi that is stocking one..............:thumbup:

and a 4th for the powercraft washer too :)

I have a Karcher B203 and that's still going strong after 3yrs+ *touch wood*

But if I were in the market, I'd be after the Powercraft as well :)

the K3.99 by karcher is a great machine i use one on a daily basis and it's fab,

they are nearly £150 in the shops but if you look round on ebay there are a few eshops that sell them brand new delivered for around £70 -80 this is how i got mine and it arrived quickly and works great.

Are you sure it's reliable? Frozen water? ;)

haha they are you just need to thew them out first, lol

i thought mine was knackered the other day but i left it next to the radiater in the kitchen over night and it was fine in the morning

Glad it's sorted now :thumbup:

To be fair, none of them like the cold weather. There's a warning label on my 203 about frost....

FWIW the karcher I was using for years (2.35DB+) is still fine and runs ok, but it got replaced by the powercraft as it has a bit more grunt.

ps..does the powercraft accept hozelock fittings?

Sure does and Karcher bits and pieces.........:thumbup:

Does anyone know what snow foam lance does the powercraft one accepts?

Cheers

There are a few ways to get the Powercraft unit to except a snow foam lance:

1) Buy a Karcher Lance and then get a Snow Foam Lance with the Karcher Fitment;

2) Modify the Karcher Fitmern on the Snow Foam Lance to fit the Powercraft Lance;

I went for Option 2 and this works fine on mine.........:thumbup:

I am using an Elite Car Care Heavy Duty Foam Lance.........:thumbup:

Looks good Simon. What Snow Foam dilution are you using there? Do you mix it with a standard shampoo?

Thanks Steve...........:thumbup:

In these winter months I have changed to mixing the Snow Foam solution with some Megs APC which yeilds the results shown in the pictures above, works well..............:thumbup:

How did you "modify" the lance?

Just looking for a pressure washer myself. The Karcher 3.99 is on Amazon at £99.99 but there is a review on the 2.99 where someone reckons that the 3.99 is too powerful for a vehicle paint finish. Doesn't seem very likely but any thoughts? It's only 1700 W.

Just saw the Ebay persons name!! LOL
