had an account which use to get several hundred aday and i basically stopped using it and left it as a spam catcher only using it if i signed up to a new website/forum to ensure my legite accounts didnt get clogged up. certainly could tell when spammers had been shut down as emails could drop by up to 75% but then over time build up to what it was catching per day.

I get around 100 PMs a week

I get a few, but Spamassassin takes care of 99.9% of it.

don't get any at the moment

SWMBO was getting tons after filling in a questionairre to get freebies .Got a filter on Yahoo to send it straight,do not pass go ,to trash .Now very little .Trashcan gets filled up -but we don't get it .

Get hardly any thanks to googlemail

I used to get a fair amount, but now i use google mail which also collects my pop3 accounts as well and very kindly filters them along with the rest of the google mail.

I did have a pop account a few years back which i just gave up with and closed which was getting about 800 spam emails per day, thats the result of having your email address published on a very busy website for 2 years :eek:

I get mailing list mails that go in my Spam from amazon, dabs, play etc etc. But actual SPAM (Enlarge your free money casino etc) I get very very rarely and id been using googlemail for over 3 years now.

Don't get any on the Plus Net account (without any kind of client filtering), but I get quite a bit on my old Virgin Net one. More phishing than spamming actually, TBH...

That seems to be how it works, someone I know clicked on one and now gets at least 50% more spam now than they did before. Never unsubscribe from spam, you will just get shed loads more.
