Excise Duty Octy 2.0 tdi

Featured Replies

I thought my 2005 Octy 2.0 tdi estate, manual gearbox should be a band C yet my renewal says it's £145 for the year, am I missing something?Regards Monkster.

It's based on your CO2 rating, and the bands have now changed.

Band C is still £120 a year. Changes are made after April 1st, currently Band C covers 120-150 co2's. After April 1st, this range will be split to 3 different groups; D,E and F and the cost will either be £120,£120 or £125 in 2009 or £90, £110 or £125 depending on the exact co2s the 2.0Pd140 kicks out.

I have the PD 170 and thats a D which is currently £145.

You need to chase that up Monkster, if yours is a manual box then Co2 should be 145 and so Band C. If its a DSG then its Band D (158 co2's)

Its a manual and the log book says 154 G/KM could this be wrong? It's not a vrs.

Monkster,

I guess Skoda has done some updating since yours was built to bring it under the 149g/Co2 threshold for the next tax band...More marketable then!

Cheers, TD

Just got my reminder £120 for the year on a 2.0TDi 08

My 2.0TDi is 158 band D (band G from april) so works out at £145 now or £150 from april.... guess the A4 is a bit heavier than the Octy.

My 55 plate (september 05) 2.0TDi Elegance is currently £120, so I guess it comes in Band C and is 149g/Km

I've sent the V5 off to Swansea with a covering letter.I'll let you all know the outcome.the car is exactly the same as Mannyo's ie 05, 55 reg 2.0 tdi elegance.

I thought the actual Co2 rating for each car varied on what options where fitted to car. So while a particular model may have a base rating, the rating of you car may vary slightly. (I have a 56 reg 2.0TDI Elegance, I haven't had to tax mine yet so I'm curious to see what you pay)

Back when I was looking at Smart cars the dealers where delivering a particular model without alloy wheels so that the car was in a very low tax bracket, and then supplying the alloy wheels as a very cheap dealer add on. Wheels swapped before you drive away and a nice low annual tax bill.

I have a 55 plate 2.0 140, dsg Elegance and the tax is £145 and it say's 165 Co.

Thats proberbly right, the DSG box increases the Co output.

my 55 2.0tdi estate was always £145
