Fabia vRS Cambelt and Waterpump...

Featured Replies

The Fabia needs a cambelt change in the next couple of weeks so I'm going to get a kit from the local Skoda dealer. Also going to change to waterpump, is this still an exchange item and are the OEM pumps of decent quality these days?

Also, anybody got up to date prices before I venture over?

yup its exchange and they are cheap as fook

My car needs an new timing belt soon, I've done 55K miles. Is the fan/auxiliary belt changed at the same time? Does the water pump have to be changed every time or can it wait and replaced on the second belt change?

Personal choice with the pump, for the cost i would get it done as a safegard

You Should go to your local TPS, V.A.G parts at trade prices, they are supposed to be for trade but they sell to anyone, trust me!!

Cam Belt kit £57.95+vat 038198119A

the pump aint in the trade club but you would probs get 10% off the £30.50!!

Got them from the dealer as I needed them ASAP.

If anybody is interested, the waterpump has a metal impeller and has a £25 surcharge against it subject to returning the old pump.
