OK I have made a new post on this.

I curently have this MFD-B Sat Nav / CD Radio in my car

Part Number - 1U0 0035191B

Now in the Manual it does say that this can be a TV too

What i need to know is what do i need to do to make this into a TV. ?

I see on ebay someone is selling some MFD Tuners is this all i would need?

I Live in Belfast - UK so would need to work on a UK Turner but these are french ones unsure if that maters?

Has anyone turned there MFD2 into a TV ?

Also can you connect an IPOD to these ? if so what lead would i need ?

That's not an MFD2 mate, it's an MFD.

With those you need the lead and plugs to connect to the MFD as well.

I am lost i was told these are all the same MFD MFD2 MFDA lol

If you don't have leads how do you propose to connect it to the MFD?

well if these worked i would hope the seller would have the leads if not i am sure VW or Skoda would be able to get the leads

But has anyone done this has anyone changed there MFD into a tv and what all do i need is it only this TV tuner and the missing lead from it ?

I looked into doing this using audi/vw parts ,because it allows you to connect other sources to the tuner ,DVD etc. you need the right version of tuner, aerials (4 max ) and cables audio video power and control , I decided it was not really worth doing with an analogue tuner when it will all be switched off in the next couple of years anyway( no analogue telly in wales after march 2010 ). There are some digital tuners on the market but most seem to be in germany and I dont know if they can be controlled from the MFD direct or need separate controls

I'd be surprised if you'd buy the cables off the shelf from VAG as they would be part of a cars wiring loom and thus not a spare part. You could probably buy the plugs and if you knew the pin assignments build your own leads.

www.satnavsystems.com do everything you need to convert it to an analogue or digital TV, DVD player etc. They have all the leads and antennae. They are NOT cheap though. Expect to shell out big-time to get a TV in your Superb.
