Back From Jabba

Featured Replies

Got boost controller fitted and map adjusted.

New place is a big improvement on the old place.

Results are

245.6 bhp @ 5817 rpm

330.9 Nm @ 3866 rpm

Air Temp 23 degrees.

Pulls better than before just got to book it into the dealers as got a 17608 fault code. Intermittent fault with N248 mechanical malfunction.

impressive! I'm looking forward to a thorough inspection of Jabba's new place on Saturday! :D

Me too...on the 17th ;)

Me too - when the new 4WD rolling road is up and running. And why isn't 17608 in Bentley Publisher's list of DTCs?

You mean N249?

I had that code on mine.. was the DV. Beware dealer kneejerk when they spy the boost controller..

It's easily removable. The knob is anyway :D

Is that for the boost controller? Or something more... sinister? :D

Dont need to remove things for my dealer

Not sure if it is a N249 as Mike gave me the piece of paper with the code and fault summary. Not the DV as Mike said my bailey one was ok.

The code I had was definitely 17608 - not one of the more common ones when OE DV's go wrong (from my research) but that was the cause in my case. If Mike's been at yours and says it's hunkey-dunkey under the new boost conditions then indeed it's prolly ok innit ...

And me, if i don't get lost. Hi Jason :D

Jonno.

You might well think that.

However, i couldn't possibly comment ;)

well theres only a few things one would go to jabba for.......

Remap: which you already have

Boost controller: already confirmed but not worth the trip on its own

KWs: possible

FMIC: possible but not worth the money.

IHI conversion: join the back of the Q, would be lucky to have it by end of 2k5.

Personally i think hes trading it in for a fabia :D

Enjoy!

Will do :D

Mate is hopefully bringing a FMIC around tonight off a Rover 75 to see if we can do anything with it. He seams to of booked one out of stores to replace a broken one on a customers car but not used it

Nice one on the boost controller, reminds me to book mine in as I'm on the GB, should get some similar results (hopefully!) :D

Andy

So i do ;)

Boost controller: already confirmed but not worth the trip on its own

You think ? :rubchin:

KWs: possible

Correct !!......possibly ;)

FMIC: possible but not worth the money.

Totally agree there. :)

IHI conversion: join the back of the Q, would be lucky to have it by end of 2k5.

That's one thing i can gurantee i will not be having done.

A dealer would have to pay me large amounts of cash to drive one of those things off the forecourt ;)

245 bhp?!! Nice one! What else are you running other than the re-map and boost control? I'm due in at Jabbas next month (bet you'd never have guessed).

how do u remove the boost controller anyway?

Kenny There is a head phone jack plug for the controller. Unplugged mine and it went to standard boost so i quickly connected it again :D

Charliekat i have full samco boost hoses and turbo inlet pipe. Bailey DV30 along with Jabba's sports cat/downpipe and a powerflow 2.5" duplex exhaust.

Not bad saying the exhaust was made for looks and sound over performance.

looking good paul, i'll enjoy sitting behind you all the way to silverstone on sunday cause i havet got the oomph to pull past... your bro still coming in his new fabia ?
