Octavia II Scout LED day running lights

Featured Replies

Hi,

did anyone fit LED DRLs into his/her Octavia Scout? I'm thinking of a led chain fitted into the original headlights or applying Angel Eyes around the HL projectors.

I don't want to substitute the fog lights, nor cut holes into the bumbers.

i looked into this and in the end used vag com to enable "north america" lighting which puts your dip beam on when the engine is running and handbrake is off and keeps all the other lights off.

Does it not turn on sidelights or rear lights?

Yes, that's an option, but here in Italy legislations want's you to turn the whole christmas tree on (full head lights, rear lights and numberplate  - I wonder what this is good for during the day).

Someone here modified VAGcom settings so that the fog lights turn on automatically, but was told off by police at the first occasion.

I think I can cheat around that legal stuff using LEDs like the Audis have.

North America setting just set front lights only when handbrake is off (like mine).

Scandinavian setting puts your lights like volvos (back and sidelights)

Neither of the two settings i have mentioned above use foglights in their settings, if you want fog lights on you will have to turn them on manually.

nope thats scandinavian setting, north american setting just puts on front dips only, but you need to let off the handbrake before they come on and they will then go back off again when handbrake is applied. I should be down at your open day next weekend (fingers cross) so you can see it then
