Superb offer ??

Featured Replies

A dealer called me up and made me an offer for a superb, see below:

Skoda Superb PD170 Elegance Manual Finished in Black Magic metallic

(don't need hill hold and park assist or 10 speaker sound system)

Price on the road £24040

Additional Specification

Upgraded 10 Speaker Sound System

Hill Hold

Park Assist

Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror

Heated Front & Rear Seats

Privacy Glass

Heated Windscreen Wash

PX £7500 for my Fabia VRS (subject to viewing).

this is not a offer to go for since there are better deals available me thinks! :thumbdwn:

Spec the very same car on the Skoda site and it comes to.............................

£24,040

I fail to see the correlation between that and a 'good deal'

those dealers try anything to get a sale, occasionally they find an empty head that bites :) I'll have two!

Check Drivethedeal and Broadspeed, a dealer should be getting very close to those prices before you even consider making a deal.

If he's quoting list price for the Superb, whether its a good deal or not depends on if £7500 is a good offer for your car.

But based on the info you have given its not possible to comment on how good the deal is

You can get at least 10% off from a dealer;)

My dealer couldnt match the drivethedeal price but i would rather pay a little extra in the hope he doesnt go bust and i'm left travelleing all over the place for repairs

10% is more than our margin.

What is the details on your Fabia? It may well be a good deal if the dealer has to write £1,200 out of the deal as an over allowance on your Fabia.

My dealer told me he only got 8% on the car yet drivethedeal were able to offer about £400 less than my dealer offerred me and i felt he had offerred a very very good deal

Surely orders taken from companies like drivethedeal still earn the dealer profit , or why would they bother???

This is purely out of interest as i would be very reluctant to go outside of the dealer network for purchasing, i have a good relationship with my dealer he sold my mum a Fabia VRS, my wife a Octy VRS and a friend i sent down there got a Octy 1.9 auto and the service repair side is always good as well , it would do me no good at all if they were to go under for the sake of internet companies taking their business
