Help with new ECU error codes

Featured Replies

I ran a diagnostic with a handheld device today to try and confirm a none working Drivers door light and interior light not coming on with drivers door open.

Got these error codes:

4472 - Bank 1 - Probe 2 - internal resistance to great.

408C - Bank 1 - Probe 2 - no activity

0214 - Supply Voltage

Any ideas folks......

Your locking mechanism proberbly needs cleaning and lubing up, fairly common, I currently have the same problem, just haven't got round to sorting it yet. The interior lights are triggered by micro switches within the lock mechanism and when the mechanism gets all bunged up, the catch doesn't move enough to operate the switches. With the door open, try pushing the catch up and down with your fingers and see if the lights come on. If they do, then the lock mechanism just needs a good clean up, if still no joy, then it could be the micro switches themselves that are knackered and I believe that generally means a new locking mechanism is required which iirc are about £80.

I think the micro switch is dead as I sprayed lots of cleaner and tried manually moving catch up and down to no avail. Door locks and opens ok, it's just the lights not working with the door open

Martin , it is a autonostics one. I don't like it so I have re installed VAGCOM on my new laptop(managed to find my full version) I will test it tomorrow and see what that comes up with.

Those codes relate to the lambda probe after the cat. They should bring the engine light on. They might not be anything to worry about if it is intentional for your non standard exhaust.

Oh ok, thanks for that. Interesting as I have no engine light on.I did change these sensors some time back and will recheck the fittings and connections.
