My first thread ... Facelift vRS ?

Featured Replies

First of all hello

I currently drive a 2003 JDM Impreza STI GL(dccd-a 370BHP ect ) .... but due to buying a house I am going to down grade (15mpg is a bit tough!!) to probably a Fabia VRS

I am going for a test drive next friday

Anyway the guy says there is a face lift at the end of September (new dash ect) does this effect the vRS ??

Cheers

Tal

also what colour / spec / price should I aim for ???

i think that you can only have the new facelift furby now if you order new. Some other guys may be able to clear that up.

As far as the facelift goes, i've seen it, and its mainly the rear lights that are dirrerent and apart from that you can hardly notice anything else, which is nice because its a great little car, and it looks very good.

You wont be dissapointed, try the revo upgrade, you can still get 40-55 mpg depending on how you drive, i drive quite hard and get 48-50mpg! For a 185bhp with over 310lb torque thats amazing...

welcome...

With the facelift, all it is is a new bumper, deeper lights and larger grill so it is not very different. The front of the Fabia vRS is not part of the facelift, but you might get the new rear lenses and interior.

Yeah the changes look minimal to be honest, and dealers are saying Oct/Nov time and we know built to spec VRS's are in short supply anyway, i'm having to go for one already in a showroom (but not registered).

BTW, join the Scooby -> Furby club, i've got a 310hp classic uk impreza atm and its on its merry way, good fun which will never be bettered but you just have to do some things, the Fabia VRS is a great car to drive, i was very surprised, enjoy your test drive.

Down grade to a Fabia? Surely you mean upgrade :)

My thoughts exactly Ross, Ive got a scooby and driver comfort is ten times better in the Furby then the scooby. And to say 310lb ft of torque comes with a simple re-map is excellent cos you need to spend abit to get that in a scoob.

Thanks guys you are all correct ... sort of ... mine is the new jap spec sti which is a hole lot better than anything before .... it has been modified and has 370bhp and 370 lbs feet of torque it revs to 8000rpm does 0-60 in about 4.5 and 0-100 in about 12 plays with 911s ect ... the reason I am changing is purely economical 60mpg from a nice little car is a whole lot better than 15mpg from a super car when you have a 100k loan for a house ....

Been thinking of a clio 182 try to Dissuade me i can get one from a dealer with cup pack for 13K.............

I've had scoob, octy vrs and now fabia vrs. just think of it as changing not up/ downgrading. think you'll find the fab is well, fab

loved them all, Skoda's definatly better screwed together imho.
