Amazing what mud flaps can do!!

Featured Replies

Ordered some front mad flaps in the week, £14 from stealers i was getting fed up with loads of dirt/mud being thrown up all over the side of the car, and stone chips lower half of front doors get hit worst. Anyhow fitted them today very easy to fit and to my surprise they make the car look better!

They seem like they should of always been there, looks alot better more finished, happy days! :D

Pictures?

Pictures?

And part numbers please

Ian

I have a full set on mine, dont see many octy,s with them on the front

Your right, they look excellent on the front. The taxi company i am involved with in Dundee once had a fleet of yellow SDi Octavia's and all came with front mud flaps from the factory. Can't understand why they don't fit them, especially as they all have rears.

I have front ones only on my Fabia vRS and Octavia sport as both cars have different rear bumpers from the rest of the range. Pity.

Anyone have or know of any that fit?

My vRS came with mud flaps all around but it doesn't stop the car looking like it's been driven through a field.

I'm fully flapped up too!

im not :( mudflaps on the front would be great, my black car always loks filthy in the winter, even thought its washed weekly!!!

Ok here's the part number KEA075003, will get some pictures up shortly.

the only downside to mud flaps is they tend to catch on speedbumps or when dropping down high kerbs. (or it might just be my car)

So do splitters  but I still won't get rid of it

haha so true

simple solution, dont drop down high kerbs:thumbup:

Only problem with the front flaps is that they can trap grime behind them which then rubs against the paint and on my car had caused some laquer peel.

They do look better with them but its another bit of black plastic to try to keep looking black rather than grey :D

I can't say they do a great job of keeping the car clean but I haven't got any stone chips on the side of my car (millions on the front though :( ) so they may protect in that regard.

yup good for reducing stone chips and do look pretty good imo.

I dont drop down high kerbs very often, it can also ground on a dropped kerb into the road. They are guaranteed to scrape coming out of the NCP car park at work on the speedhump by the barrier and it scrapes each and every time my car drives down the private road to SWMBO's work

Looks good

Indeed... wonder what they look like on a silver body though?

I was thinking that :) I reckon they will look fine though :o Someone surely must have a pic on a silver car

Ian

I'll take a pic later after I've washed the car! If I manage to get off the sofa....

Don't look too bad on silver either. Now wanna see how well they actually work..... Who has a car with just one front mud flap on it?!

I think the front ones do a lot more than the back ones in my opinion mate as my doors etc stay fairly clean but the back end of my car is always filthy:thumbdwn:
