Im looking at buying a cat c octavia and repairing it, its a 51 plate just wondered a rough idea on the value once its repaired, not because i want to buy it and sell it but just to get an idea what a decent price to buy it for while its damaged and not be paying over the odds as obviously it will be worth less than one thats never been damaged.

to behonest mate it wont be worth a great deal these cars are selling for 2k on that reg now .. so with a cat c prob be around the 1000 mark

i suppose it all depends on how much you are paying for it and how bad the damage is ??

Because the vRS is now a cheap car to buy they are very easily written off. Even a CAT C write off may only have very minor damage to take it beyond repair using new parts.

Would I buy it, yes proberbly depending on the damage involved.
