Polo 6n2 Coilovers

Featured Replies

Hey guys and gals,

Well it's MOT time and I need new dampers all round, ran on eibachs and standard dampers for too long lol...

I've been offer a set of FK coilovers for the car to get it through an MOT but they are for a Polo 6n2 now I know they will be different weights over the axles and such like but do they fit?

All i need to know is will the definately fit the fabia?

Cheers guys,

Adrian

P.s. anyone changed a wheel bearing on a VRS themselves before? if so is it an easy or hard job?

Not sure about the coilovers, but I'd leave the wheel bearing to a garage. A special tool is needed to press the new bearing sufficiently back into the hub so as not to damage the ABS ring and sensor.

The Fabia shares it's platform with the 9N Polo.

Personally, i would stay as clear of FK coilovers as i can. Had then on a Fabai, and they were so hard it kept popping tyres off rims

How cheap we talking

No they wont fit.

got a full set here too OEM in Scotland too ;)

As Lummox said they wont fit. 6n2 struts bolt to the hub carriers whereas 9n/Fabia i believe are 'clamped' in a sleeve on the hub carrier.

(I know it isnt described well but finding it hard to get the words from brain to fingers lol)
