kensington rds fm tuner for ipod

Featured Replies

Are these any good? obviously from using a belkin and one on my sony ericsson they not the best in the world for quality etc, but does the trick in hire vehicles. However has anyone tried the kensington one out and have any thoughts on it as one seems to be coming my way for under a tenner.

Yes i have a couple of them (both digital ones), one in the Superb and SWMBO used one in her car, OK thats a lie she couldn't be bothered to connect it up every day so in fact it has been used for about 3 hrs!.

So i have just bought her an xcarlink interface for the Golf so her iPod is ready to go all the time.

I would buy another in a drop of a hat - or rather i would if i didn't have a spare one now which will never get used ............ now what was the address of that popular auction site?

Oops forgot to add i can go from Folkestone to the center of London without loosing the station, it even wipes out all the local radio stations in London (when i got there and unplugged the transmitter i was on the frequency of some local station, this was not apparent when the transmitter was in use)

I did a fair bit of research before i bought ours and they came out clear favorite.

i will rarely use it in my car, its more for when im using a vehicle from work. currently bidding on an itrip which can just sit in my jacket pocket. but the kensignton would live in my works bag for those long trips.

Some are too powerful though, I have been sat in traffic before now and had to endure the sound from someone elses IPOD instead of the station I wanted to listen to. it wasnt until the traffic started moving I got the radio station back. If its doing that in your car, imagine what is happening in the cars around you.
