Confusing confused.com

Typed my reg number in confused.com and it said my Skoda was a Ford Mondeo:rofl::rofl:

I'd check on the DVLA site as well, just in case they've got it wrong, I wonder where they get their info from though :o

Confused and most insurers get the data straight from the DVLA database, if its coming up as a mondeo then that suggests something is wrong at the DVLA.

What happens if you put your reg number into direct lines insurance quote system,

and likewise the dvla taxdisc vehicle enquiry.

Mine sometimes comes up as the correct car, 1.4 16v(100bhp) Fabia, other sites bring it up as 1.4 (75bhp) auto. DVLA site seems to have it correct so wonder why its doing that.

The point is really it should come up as the 'right' car, otherwise something is messed up and that can cause allsorts of joy if you end up involved in a RTA or if the car is seriously different (like diff brand as per OP) it could be someone else is driving with the wrong plates.

Just one of those things I'd want to get to the bottom of before there is a fun one down the line. Good find though

my fabia often comes up as a 1.4 16v when i get insurance quotes, quids in :D
